Alright alright!

This is gonna be a shorter email.

This week was quite a unique one! The highlight was no doubt making the hour-journey of a drive up to Bowie for this huge service project. The town recently had a tornado come through that caused a lot of damage so we spent basically the whole day on Saturday cleaning up around the community! It was a blast! It was actually a much bigger deal than I thought and there were over 500 people there! And I saw missionaries there from all over the mission! Definitely had some much needed reunions!

Okay okay, another huge highlight from this week! So, there are longhorns on the Ranch where I live and I have been trying so hard to get them to like me. They are kinda super afraid of humans and wouldn’t even get close to me. But I have been working a bit with the really big guy and he has slowly warmed up to me. He ate from my hand about a week and a half ago and every day since then I have come and sat by him on the other side of the fence for about 5 minutes and then I leave. Well, baby steps work! Yesterday, I went out to go spend time with him again and he came right up to me and stuck out his big nose toward me and I PET HIM! I finally pet him!! I have been trying for the last 7 weeks to pet him and finally he let me! I was so beyond happy! We are buddies now! I am also trying to name him, so if y’all have any ideas, please let me know!

So for spiritual things this week, I’ll be honest, I have felt pretty drained. Quarantine is starting to get to me. Because of quarantine, we spend a lot of time on facebook to reach out to people which has been emotionally exhausting if we are being honest. The world is going through some really really devastating stuff right now and it makes my heart ache to see all the pain, confusion and destruction.

However I have learned something. There is always peace in Jesus Christ. He is the ultimate way to find peace. I love the promise that because of His Atonement, ALL things that are unfair in this life will be made right. I know that Jesus is the ultimate example of how we should all be. A perfect balance of justice and mercy, completely driven by a perfect love for ANYONE and EVERYONE. I know that if we will choose to follow his example, we can’t go wrong.

I want to testify that I know Jesus Christ lives and I know that our Heavenly Father loves us and he is in control. I know that we can become better and eventually perfect through Jesus Christ. I know that only through Jesus Christ can we find enduring joy and peace.

I hope you all have a fantastic week filled with love and safety. Remember, what would Jesus do? He would love first.
