Well I hit my 7 month mark yesterday… How crazy is that? I was actually talking to my sister today and we both feel like I have been out way longer than just over half a year.

There has been a lot on my mind lately. Too much probably hahaha. I’m not sure exactly what to write about. But I will tell y’all all about the fun stuff that happened this week.

We somehow got sucked into being on a committee that is meant to help the missionaries in our mission do a better job with reporting their key indicators. Key indicators are the numbers we report every week like “how many baptisms”, “how many new people” and so on. So long story short, we were given the responsibility to make a video to get the missionaries hyped. How you might ask? With stickers. You read that right… STICKERS. So we made the cringiest video known to man about stickers. It was fun. We also made another funny video about missionaries in quarantine. That is a good one too haha.

We had Zone Conference and interviews which was pretty chill. That same day we were able to have dinner at a members home with 4 other Elders and I had a super bomb jalapeno burger and it was so good. We also had many fun service opportunities! We helped out at a drive-thru food bank, helped clean a member’s home, helped make and serve lunch at a soup kitchen, cleaned some floors and almost died while using grout remover…that stuff is strong. There was probably more, but I don’t remember hahaha. But boy I love service, it is so nice.

We have seen fun animals on the road that I have almost killed, but HAVEN’T! Including an armadillo, a wild boar and a racoon!

There was also a day when we were at the institute building and had some downtime so I set up a bunch of markers around the room and shot like over 500 rubber bands to take them out. I shot myself in the face only 3 times! I have a video of one of the times…

We also had a mission-wide Sister zoom call one of the days and it was actually really nice. We talked about the importance of taking care of yourself and our mental health. It was very interesting and my favorite quote that was shared was this: “God cares more about my growth than my comfort”. Boy, is that true.
God’s purpose is to help me become like Him and well…He is a God, so no doubt there is gonna be some growing pains! There is gonna have to be a lot of improving and learning to get to that point and it is gonna hurt. But it is amazing and beautiful and 110% worth it. I’ve also heard that when we finally have everything God has in store for us we will ask if that was really all it took. We will find that the pain that came from what we suffered in our life will be infinitely smaller than the joy and amount of blessings and glory we will enjoy in the next life. What a beautiful promise.

But that is all for me folks! Thanks y’all for all the love and support, I love y’all so much!
