Well, when I didn’t think things could get any crazier… The Coronavirus has reached the Missionaries of the Texas, Fort Worth Mission. And where you might ask? You guessed it! (Or read the title of my email😂) My zone!

One of the Sisters in my Zone got tested for the Coronavirus when she came down with a fever last Monday after Zone p-day. She let the Zone know she was being tested, but we all thought nothing of it because it was just a fever, right? Well, two days later, her test comes back positive. That means the entire zone was exposed to it on p-day and now we are all under 2 week, strict quarantine😂🙌 Lets goooooo!

We of course have to let the Mission President know and the next day, we have a mission wide zoom call about the entire thing and get the same lecture about how to prevent COVID-19 when all this craziness first started. In this call we also find out that we, who are being quarantined, can’t even go outside… suddenly, it’s not so funny anymore. I mean, it wasn’t to begin with, but NOT EVEN BEING ABLE TO GO OUTSIDE??

Well this is just the beginning of the adventure. Because on Saturday night we get a call from President telling us our new assignments for the next transfer starting on Wednesday. He tells me I’m being moved to the Alliance Zone and my companion will be training. We get all confused though and ask him what happened to us being in lock down. He explains to us that the Sister who tested positive told us she didn’t have direct face-to-face contact with us for more than 15 minutes since she had developed the symptoms, (Which is true) so we didn’t need to be quarantined. He encouraged us to go to church the next day and go back to normal.

Okay, cool! So we aren’t in quarantine anymore! Sad news is that I’ll be leaving, but at least I’m not in lock down! So the next day, we use the church building for some zoom meetings and we even have a nice dinner with a lovely older couple in our ward. Ahhhhhh, how nice it is to not be quarantined… riiiiight? BUT THEN… we check out the Zone group chat and it turns out that an Elder in our Zone also tested positive…with whom we had been in direct contact that Monday…. Joy. So, we are back in quarantine until the 25th and I’m not getting transferred out until the beginning of September. It has been the biggest roller coaster this week, lemme tell ya.

I also dropped my phone this week and shattered the screen😑 So I called the phone repair people in the area and when I told them I had a Samsung phone they told me it wasn’t worth getting fixed and I should just get a new one hahaha! Boom, roasted. I have since gotten the new one and it gave me some trouble at first, but it is working swimmingly now.

On the bright side of everything! We had a great lesson with the new guy we are teaching who I told y’all about in my last email and we have another lesson with him tonight. It was another one of those lessons that you just cant stop smiling about😁 It was way awesome.

One morning this week as I was pondering the depths of my own mind while doing the dishes, I remembered how much joy Christmas brings me. I turned to my companion and asked her if she wanted to decorate the apartment with Christmas stuff and of course she said yes. Long story short, it is Christmas everyday of the week at the barn now. Which is especially nice during quarantine😂😉 My companion and I have also started doing INSANITY this week and I am crazy sore but it is way fun and gonna get me in shape so I’m pumped.

Anywho, not much else to update y’all on, just keep us in your prayers if you would. My companion and I haven’t seen any real symptoms yet to indicate we might have it, but you never know.

Love y’all so much! Have a great week!
