Hello everyone! Happy pday! I hope yall are doing stellar!!

This week we had a ton of service opportunities at this awesome place called Christ’s Haven. I’m pretty sure I’ve talked about it before, but it’s a place for foster kids to live and we worked on decorating several of the rooms. Each room was so different based on the kids’ interests and they are so cool! There was a guitar room, dinosaur room, football room, basketball room, music room and a few more I can’t remember haha. We ended up working on these rooms on 3 separate days this week and I loved it. Christ’s Haven is probably one of my favorite places to volunteer.

A sort of update on my eyes. I went to a retina specialist and they are telling me the same thing the other doctors have said. The good news is that they are saying I shouldn’t really worry about it, however there have been some developments that are potentially concerning. I will be headed back to do some tests this week so we shall see. Your prayers are felt and much appreciated😊

The best part of this week has been putting together a musical number for a mission-wide devotional we have tonight. They asked each zone to come up with a talent they can share with everyone and me and an Elder were sort of volunteered to sing for it! What is kinda nice is that we are already working on a Christmas song for another project so we just did that one! The song is “Baby, What You Goin’ to Be?”, which not many people have heard before, but it is beautiful. We met up one evening to work on it and film it and we ended up spending 5 hours at the church practicing, recording, re-recording, filming and re-filming hahahaha. It was actually kind of a blast, except for the fact that the Elder and I were just a little dead afterwards… Then I spent 3 hours editing it into the final project only to find out the next morning that we needed to re-film it because the location we had filmed it at wasn’t allowed…I guess. Yay. Soooooo, this morning we got all our shopping done really really fast, met the Elders at the church and re-filmed it. Then I edited it ONCE again and finally have the official finished product! And it looks sooooo good! I am actually very happy we redid it because it looks way better now.

Shoutout to this Elder for all his hard work and for maintaining such a positive attitude through the long process. It would not have been as fun if he hadn’t been so awesome through it all. And of course, it would not have even been possible without my sweet companion! She learned the song on the piano in just a few weeks and played for us. She is incredible and such a trooper!

My thoughts this week have been directed towards the Savior. Of course, as a missionary, He is my main focus every day, but even more so now that Christmas is on it’s way! Participating in Light the World has been really amazing because I have also been able to share my thoughts about the Savior and what Christmas means to me on my Facebook page. I have thought a lot about what it will be like to see the Savior again. It is so crazy to think that I know that day is coming and I don’t even know when it will happen. But I know that when that day does come, there is a certain person I want to be. A way I want to be living. I want to be confident in my testimony. I want to be diligent in my scripture study and personal prayers. I want to be immovable in the knowledge of who I really am, my worth and the things I’m capable of. I want to be able to meet His gaze and see Him as He is. One day, one day! It’ll happen😊 What a great day that will be.

Have a great week yall! Love you guys so so much!
