Hello family and friends!
I am going to keep this email nice and brief.
This week we were stuck inside for most of the time. Something I have been able to do while stuck inside though is re-learn how to use a sewing machine to make face masks for people in the community! What a blessing that has been! We were also able to go do service at two different food pantries/soup kitchens which has also been a true blessing and has probably been one of the only things to keep me sane hahaha. It is truly unreal how much you forget about all your troubles and concerns when you are helping someone else with theirs.
I have seen so many blessings this week from so many people. I have to say that the ward members out here treat you like you are their own grown children. Always ready to help and assist in any way they can, and boy am I grateful for that.
General Conference was so amazing I could go on and on and on! Am I right?? But I will just share one of my favorite messages shared. This was from Elder Jeffrey R. Holland’s talk on hope. I don’t have it word for word, but he talked about how it is only through Jesus Christ that we can hope for a better world than the one we have now. This is definitely something that I feel like we already know, but we often don’t always remember. The only true and lasting peace, love and hope we can receive and enjoy in this life comes through our Savior and living his Gospel. I testify that I have witnessed this truth in my own life and I know for an absolute fact that he is the source of true joy and everlasting happiness. He is why I hope for the future and sharing his Gospel is my sole purpose in life right now and I couldn’t be happier.
I know there are so many beautiful things in the world right now even with all the suffering. I know we can see miracles and blessings every single day. Even through every devastating trial or trying journey or heartache I’ve ever been through, because of my Savior, I’m proud to say, that life has been pretty darn good to me and that I have learned so much. I’m grateful for the opportunity I have to have anything come my way. I’m learning to accept all that comes and love it! I should say… still learning😉 but it’s a lesson I want, need and am excited to learn.
I hope you all enjoyed conference and I’d love to hear what your favorite message was! I love you all❤❤❤❤
