Happy Monday er’buddy! I hope y’all are doing well!

It’s been an eventful week filled with meetings, conferences, service and teaching with a General Authority… WHAT???

We started the week by going thrifting and while we were out and about we saw we missed a call from Pres…. That’s no good. We called him back and he told us that Elder Michael Teh, a member of the Quorum of the Seventy in the church who was joining the mission this week for our mission conference, wanted to join my companion and I in one of our lessons. Okay, yeah sure, sounds great, thank you Pres! We were just a tad nervous hahaha.

So Elder Teh zoom called in from Utah Wednesday night and we had a fantastic lesson with some of our investigators! He gave a prayer at the end that was so beautiful it made me and the mom of the family cry… It was an incredible experience.

We also had mission conference like I mentioned earlier and it was gooooood! Lots of great insights! One thought I liked was this question he asked us: “Do you have a favorite sin?” Think about that…. Let that sink in… Here is the question I’ll follow that up with.. Are you willing to forsake that sin? Are you willing to give it up to come closer to the Savior? Make that choice. Its that simple. Anyway, kind of a cool thought.

We also had the amazing opportunity to meet with our Serbian friend this week! We had a long conversation and talked a lot about the blessings that come from living the Gospel! She has recommitted to following the commandments and praying often. It was so good to talk to her again.

A bunch more service this week! We helped mainly at a place called Christ’s Haven doing room makeovers for some of the kids who live there. We decked out a room with a bunch of basketball stuff and it was sick! We also built a lot of furniture and did a lot of moving. I’m getting buff, you guys… Getting those gainsssss😂💪

Yesterday was a really rough day for me. I usually love Sundays but it was a tough one. I woke up to all my photos deleted off my phone. My SD card in my phone basically totally stopped working and my music, pictures, videos and documents were all gone. Nothing I tried fixed it. And that was all before 10 am… Church was great, but then we had complications with a lesson, we received a very emotional phone call from a member and we found out that our people on date for baptism want to move their date to a time after transfers when I’ll most likely be gone…

Ugh.

But since all this happened, I am reminded of President Nelson’s invitation, to focus on gratitude. I am so blessed! I see so many incredible gifts from my Heavenly Father every single day. I know He is aware of me and He knows I had a tough day, and yet the blessings are still showering down! All I have to do is put down my umbrella and feel the rain! I think sometimes we get in our own way and don’t let us see the good. It’s really easy to blind ourselves with the bad. But I know that’s not what God wants and it isn’t what I want either. Let yourself feel the rain! Don’t linger on the negative, it ain’t WORTH YOUR TIME! 2 Nephi 2:27… Make your choice.

I hope you are all well and safe and I hope you have a fantastic Thanksgiving!! I challenge you all to take some time to pray to your Heavenly Father and just thank him for all your blessings! Have a gratitude prayer! I promise you that when you do that, you will feel the love God has for you and you will be comforted❤️

Love you all!
