Heyyyyyy! I hope everyone has had a great week! I will get right into mine and share with you some of the fun we’ve had these last few days!
Right after p-day ended last week we had one last big zone activity all together before transfers. We had some people from another ward come teach us some Christmas songs and then recorded us singing them so we can post them on our Facebook page! They had the whole setup with microphones, the piano, the guitar and camera and everything. That was a blast and we had one big group hug at the end of it all. You really do become a family with these people out here🤗❤
We officially lost Sister Baker this week… It is crazy how different it feels to be back with only one other companion even though that’s how it’s been basically my entire mission hahaha. However we are really excited for this new transfer and I am really pumped to wrap up Sister Wilson’s training and really get to work for these next few weeks. New transfers can be tough, but they can also be an amazing reset button or clean slate. Another chance to set new goals and start afresh. I am anxious to get lost in the work again.
We once again had some amazing service opportunities and had a total of 12 service hours which was awesome! We had a family in our ward request some help moving and so I brought them 14 missionaries to come get the job done😉 It was quite awesome. We also did some organizing of school supplies at two different places and some fun yardwork as well. Speaking of, the weather here has been SPLENDID these last few days!!
Quick update on my broken toe! It is doing a lot better and I no longer limp! I have also started up INSANITY once again and can I just say it is amazing how out of shape you can get in just a few weeks😂… but I am so beyond happy to be exercising again like I used to. It is a huge stress reliever for me so this is some exciting stuff. I also set a goal for this transfer to get me a 6-pack again🤣💪 soooooo… it’s time to get crackalackin!
Hahaha so while that goal might be a little on the silly side, (you already know I’m gonna try though..) I do want to touch briefly on how important it is to have goals! My big brother always explained to me his “equation to success”:
Vision + Goal + Plan + Hard work = Success!
Setting good goals is a HUGE part of reaching that success that we are striving for. You can be really motivated to do something and think you have it all figured out, but only when you write it down and make a plan does it make a real difference! So have a vision of where you wanna be! Set goals to get you there! Make plans to achieve those goals! And then GET TO WORK! That’s how winning is done😉
The greatest part about it all is that you have the very best coach, supporter, teammate, example and motivator. That’s your big brother, Jesus Christ. Man oh man, is He cheering you on! Not just that, but He is right there with you too. Please council with the Lord when you set your goals, He can and will help you reach your full potential as you humbly rely on Him and GET TO WORK.
Have a stellar week you cute people! I love you all so so much! Thanks for all you do!❤
Also if I may ask yall, I will be setting up an appointment this week to go get my eye checked out again and I could really use some prayers. Thank you guys so much. Your love and support means more than you know.
