Hello, hi friends! How are ya?
The weeks are starting to get interesting and busy and fun again!

Transfers this week! WHAT?? This transfer went by too fast! Probably because I’ve been having such a fantastic time! I gotta tell you guys, my companion is really amazing. It has been incredible working with her and getting to know her. And we are staying together in the barn this transfer! What a blessing!

Okay… wow so much has happened. Let’s see, where do I start?
We started the week with meeting our new neighbors who are moving in on our street! We did some yard work outside and some cleaning on the inside. It was super fun! We are hoping to be able to go back once or twice a week to continue helping them.

We had another roommate this week wander into our garage… We were getting ready to go on our walk when we heard some movement in one corner of our garage. It was too dark to see what it was, but when we opened up the garage door there was a lovely, decently large snake coiled up about two meters next to us. Mmm. Very nice. Now I know that the barn is teaching me how to be a real woman, but …… you best believe we called for help! The owner of the property came out with a gardening hoe and we just kinda pointed to where the snake was and took several steps back. He scooted the snake outside and then he looked at us and was just like.. “I better just go on ahead and get rid of it, huh?”. That was when we decided to look away. All we heard was the gardening hoe hit the gravel a few times and that was that! Let’s just say I was a little frazzled after that. But at least we know it won’t be bothering us again!

On Thursday we went to our usual service at a local food bank. But that day we helped out with the showers. We basically just took down people’s names who wanted to shower and they each had 15 minutes and after they were done, we had to go in and sanitize the shower before the next person went in. This was especially funny because the showers were part of the restrooms which of course we separated for men and women. So we had to yell to make sure no one was in the men’s room before we went in. While one of us sanitized, the other stood by the door and made sure no one came in. Well I slacked off on my job one of the times because I had to grab something while my companion sanitized. While I was walking back, I saw a gentleman walk into the bathroom and he was just too quick so I didn’t catch him in time. This was gonna be good. I waited a few seconds before hearing my companion- “Oh! I’m so sorry, we are doing some cleaning!” Hahaha the guy slipped out of there so fast and when I walked in, the look she gave me was just priceless hahaha. My bad.

We had a crazy weekend though. We were first asked by our District leader to prepare a training for District council on Saturday. No problem! But that was just the beginning. We then got a call from our STLs asking us to do a musical number at the Zone Church Zoom meeting we have every week. Okay.. now I’m starting to stress out a little. But of course we accept. Just a little while later, we are invited to partake of the Sacrament on Sunday at the former president of the MTC’s home which we were very grateful and happy about! But then he asked us to come prepared with a Gospel Topic to discuss. Which is great! We are happy to do that! It’s just… this is the former president of the MTC and family we are talking about. There is a lot of pressure there, they are incredible people.

So, we were kinda stressed about all of it. But isn’t it so funny how things just work out when you trust in God? The training we gave went amazing and the spirit was so strong and the thoughts shared were so beautiful. The musical number went incredibly well and the zone was so complimentary and nice in telling us we did a great job. And the Sacrament meeting was probably the highlight on my week.

I am so grateful for the many opportunities and experiences that I have had this week. The amount of humbling it took for me to realize, once again, that it just takes trusting God to find the growth in all things was a real blessing. I know that he set up all those events for me to teach me how to serve and how to give away my time and energy completely to him and his work. What I learn and the gifts I’ve been given are not just for me. I know he knows me best and He knew I could handle the stress he allowed me to experience. I’m grateful he didn’t take the stress away. I’ve again learned how to I rely on Him and the Savior in the trying times of life. He is all knowing and all loving. What a beautiful week it has been!

I love you all so much! Thank you for all you do! Have a fantastic week!

For my Scripture of the week, I want to encourage you all to read the Restoration Proclamation to the world and study it! It is amazing!!
